You can<br \/>\n  create a separate image sitemap or add image sitemap tags to your existing sitemap; either<br \/>\n  approach is equally fine for Google.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Image sitemaps are based on generic sitemaps so the<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/build-submit-sitemap\/#general-guidelines\">general sitemap best practices<\/a><br \/>\n  also apply to image sitemaps. We also recommend that you follow the<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/images-best-practices\/\">general best practices for publishing images<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"example-image-sitemap\" tabindex=\"-1\">Example image sitemap<\/h2>\n<p>\n  The following example shows a regular sitemap with image sitemap extension, with two<br \/>\n  <code>&lt;url&gt;<\/code> elements:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><code>https:\/\/example.com\/sample1.html<\/code>, which contains two images<\/li>\n<li><code>https:\/\/example.com\/sample2.html<\/code>, which contains one image<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<h2 id=\"image-sitemap-reference\" tabindex=\"-1\">Image sitemap reference<\/h2>\n<p>\n  The <code>image<\/code> tags are defined in the Image Sitemaps namespace:<br \/>\n  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/schemas\/sitemap-image\/1.1\" class=\"external-link\"><code>http:\/\/www.google.com\/schemas\/sitemap-image\/1.1<\/code><\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  To make sure Google can use your image sitemap, you must use the following required tags:\n<\/p>\n<table class=\"responsive\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<th colspan=\"2\">Required tags<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><code>&lt;image:image&gt;<\/code><\/td>\n<td>\n        Encloses all information about a single image. Each <code>&lt;url&gt;<\/code> tag can<br \/>\n        contain up to 1,000 <code>&lt;image:image&gt;<\/code> tags.\n      <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><code>&lt;image:loc&gt;<\/code><\/td>\n<td>\n<p>The URL of the image.<\/p>\n<p>\n          In some cases, the image URL may not be on the same domain as your main site. This is<br \/>\n          fine, as long as you verify both domains in Search Console. If, for example, you use<br \/>\n          a content delivery network such as Google Sites to host your images, make sure that<br \/>\n          the hosting site is verified in Search Console.
