If you have a question about Sitemaps, let us know by<br \/>\n  posting in the<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/community\" class=\"external-link\">Sitemaps Google Group<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"ive-submitted-a-sitemap-for-my-site.-what-should-i-do-when-my-site-changes\" tabindex=\"-1\">I&#8217;ve submitted a Sitemap for my site. What should I do when my site changes?<\/h2>\n<p>If you add pages to your site, you can let us know in several different ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n    <strong>Resubmit your Sitemap:<\/strong> You can add the URLs to your existing Sitemap and then<br \/>\n    resubmit it either by using your Google Account or by<br \/>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/sitemaps-overview\/#ping\">sending us a ping (HTTP request)<\/a>.\n  <\/li>\n<li>\n    <strong>Create a new Sitemap:<\/strong> You can create a new Sitemap with only the new URLs and<br \/>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/build-submit-sitemap\/#addsitemap\">submit<\/a> that<br \/>\n    separately using your Google Account.\n  <\/li>\n<li>\n    <strong>Use a Sitemap index file:<\/strong> You can create a new Sitemap with only the new URLs<br \/>\n    and then list both the original Sitemap and the new Sitemap in a<br \/>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/sitemaps-overview\/#sitemapFileRequirements\">Sitemap index file<\/a>.<br \/>\n    Then, you can simply submit the Sitemap index file. If you often add pages to your site, you<br \/>\n    can periodically create a new Sitemap with new URLs, add the new Sitemap to the Sitemap index<br \/>\n    file, and resubmit the Sitemap index file.\n  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n  Note that if you ping us to let us know about changes to your Sitemap, make sure that you submit<br \/>\n  that Sitemap using your Google Account at least once. The <b>Last Submitted<\/b> date<br \/>\n  shown in your Google Sitemaps Account lists the date you last submitted the Sitemap manually,<br \/>\n  but if you receive a status <code>200 (OK)<\/code> from the ping, we received it successfully.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  If you&#8217;ve deleted pages from your site, you can delete those pages from your Sitemap and then<br \/>\n  resubmit it (either manually through your Google Account or by pinging us).\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"byline-author\">Posted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanessafox.com\/\" class=\"external-link\">Vanessa Fox<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October 26, 2005 Here&#8217;s another question we&#8217;ve gotten.
