Read our <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/malware-and-unwanted-software\/\">up-to-date documentation about malware<\/a>.<\/aside>\n<p>\n  This post is for anyone who has been<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/better-badware-notifications-for-site-owners\/\">emailed or notified<\/a> by Google<br \/>\n  about <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/badware-alerts-for-your-sites\/\">badware<\/a>, received a<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/about-badware-warnings\/\">badware warning<\/a> when browsing their own<br \/>\n  site using Firefox, or has come across<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/websearch\/answer\/45449\" class=\"external-link\">malware-labeled search results<\/a><br \/>\n  for their own site(s). As you know, these warnings are produced by our automated scanning systems,<br \/>\n  which we&#8217;ve put in place to ensure the quality of our results by<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/googleonlinesecurity.blogspot.com\/2008\/05\/safe-browsing-diagnostic-to-rescue.html\" class=\"external-link\">protecting our users<\/a>.<br \/>\n  Whatever the case, if you are dealing with badware, here are a few recommendations that can help<br \/>\n  you out.\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"attempt-left\" alt=\"malware warning advisory interstitial page\" src=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/static\/search\/blog\/images\/archived_malware_warning_advisory.bmp\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"attempt-right\" alt=\"badware warning advisory interstitial page\" src=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/kb-gorsel\/g-4003bf557997.gif\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n    If you have badware, it usually means that your web server, your website, or a database used by<br \/>\n    your website has been compromised. We have a nifty post on<br \/>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/my-sites-been-hacked-now-what\/\">how to handle being hacked<\/a>.<br \/>\n    Be very careful when inspecting for malware on your site so as to avoid exposing your computer<br \/>\n    to infection.\n  <\/li>\n<li>\n<p>\n      Once everything is clear and dandy, you can follow the steps in our post about<br \/>\n      <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/malware-reviews-via-webmaster-tools\/\">malware reviews via Webmaster Tools<\/a>.<br \/>\n      Please note the screen shot on the previous post is outdated, and the new malware review form<br \/>\n      is on the Overview page and looks like this:\n    <\/p>\n<p>    <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"malware review form in webmaster tools\" src=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/kb-gorsel\/g-f83889e52bd5.png\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>\n      Other programs, such as Firefox, also use our badware data and may not recognize the change<br \/>\n      immediately due to their caching of the data.  So even if the badware label in search is<br \/>\n      removed, it may take some time for that to be visible in such programs.\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n    Lastly, if you believe that your rankings were somehow affected by the malware, such as<br \/>\n    compromised content that violated our Webmaster Guidelines (that is, hacked pages with hidden<br \/>\n    pharmacy text links), you should fill out a<br \/>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/requesting-reconsideration-using-google-webmaster-tools\/\">reconsideration request<\/a>.<br \/>\n    To clarify, reconsideration requests are usually used for when you notice issues stemming from<br \/>\n    violations of our Webmaster Guidelines and are separate from malware requests.\n  <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\n  If you have additional questions, please review our<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/malware-and-unwanted-software\/\">documentation<\/a> or post to the<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/groups.google.com\/group\/stopbadware\" class=\"external-link\">discussion group<\/a><br \/>\n  with the URL of your site.
