Some of the information may be outdated (for example, some images may be missing, and some links may not work anymore).<\/aside>\n<p class=\"gargardate\">Tuesday, August 11, 2009<\/p>\n<p>\n  <i>A nearly duplicate version \ud83d\ude42 cross-posted on the<br \/>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/googleblog.blogspot.com\/2009\/08\/new-tools-for-google-services-for.html\" class=\"external-link\">Official Google Blog<\/a><br \/>\n  <\/i>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/googleblog.blogspot.com\/2009\/03\/google-at-your-service.html\" class=\"external-link\">Earlier this year<\/a>,<br \/>\n  we launched<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/webmasters\/provider\/index\" class=\"external-link\">Google Services for Websites<\/a>,<br \/>\n  a program that helps partners, for example, web hoster and access providers, offer useful and<br \/>\n  powerful tools to their customers. By making services, such as Webmaster Tools, Custom Search,<br \/>\n  Site Search and AdSense, easily accessible via the hoster control panel, hosters can easily enable<br \/>\n  these services for their webmasters. The tools help website owners understand search performance,<br \/>\n  improve user retention and monetize their content&mdash;in other words, run more effective<br \/>\n  websites.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Since we launched the program,<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/webmasters\/provider\/success\" class=\"external-link\">several hosting platforms<\/a><br \/>\n  have enhanced their offerings by integrating with the appropriate APIs. Webmasters can configure<br \/>\n  accounts, submit Sitemaps with Webmaster Tools, create Custom Search Boxes for their sites and<br \/>\n  monetize their content with AdSense, all with a few clicks at their hoster control panel. More<br \/>\n  partners are in the process of implementing these enhancements.\n<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve just added new tools to the suite:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/webelements\/\" class=\"external-link\">Web Elements<\/a><br \/>\n    allows your customers to enhance their websites with the ease of cut-and-paste. Webmasters can<br \/>\n    provide maps, real-time news, calendars, presentations, spreadsheets and YouTube videos on their<br \/>\n    sites. With the Conversation Element, websites can create more engagement with their<br \/>\n    communities. The Custom Search Element provides inline search over your own site (or others you<br \/>\n    specify) without having to write any code and various options to<br \/>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/googlecustomsearch.blogspot.com\/2009\/08\/custom-search-with-custom-style-peanut\" class=\"external-link\">customize further<\/a>.\n  <\/li>\n<li>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/code.google.com\/speed\/page-speed\/\" class=\"external-link\">Page Speed<\/a><br \/>\n    allows webmasters to measure the performance of their websites. Snappier websites help users<br \/>\n    find things faster; the recommendations from these latency tools allow hosters and webmasters<br \/>\n    to optimize website speed. These techniques can help hosters reduce resource use and optimize<br \/>\n    network bandwidth.\n  <\/li>\n<li>\n    The<br \/>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/webmasters\/provider\/tips\" class=\"external-link\">Tips for Hosters page<\/a><br \/>\n    offers a set of tips for hosters for creating a richer website hosting platform. Hosters can<br \/>\n    improve the convenience and accessibility of tools, while at the same time saving platform<br \/>\n    costs and earning referral fees. Tips include the use of analytics tools such as Google<br \/>\n    Analytics to help webmasters understand their traffic and linguistic tools such as<br \/>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/translate.google.com\/translate_tools\" class=\"external-link\">Google Translate<\/a><br \/>\n    to help websites reach a broader audience.\n  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n  If you&#8217;re a hoster and would like to participate in the Google Services for Websites program,<br \/>\n  please<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/services.google.com\/feedback\/webmaster_provider_signup\" class=\"external-link\">apply to the program<\/a>.<br \/>\n  You&#8217;ll have to integrate with the service APIs before these services can be made available to your<br \/>\n  customers, so the earlier you start that process, the better.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  And if your hosting service doesn&#8217;t have Google Services for Websites yet, send them to<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/webmasters\/provider\/\" class=\"external-link\">this page<\/a>.<br \/>\n  Once they become a partner, you can quickly configure the services you want at your hoster&#8217;s<br \/>\n  control panel (without having to come to Google).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  As always, we&#8217;d love to get<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/community\" class=\"external-link\">feedback<\/a><br \/>\n  on how the program is working for you, and what improvements you&#8217;d like to see.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"byline-author\">Posted by Rajat Mukherjee, Group Product Manager<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s been a while since we published this blog post.
