We&#8217;ve begun processing Sitemaps against stricter guidelines because we are<br \/>\n  committed to interoperability with other tools that are using this<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/build-submit-sitemap\/#xml\">protocol<\/a>.<br \/>\n  Because of this, some of you now see an &#8220;unsupported file format&#8221; error for Sitemaps that<br \/>\n  previously had an &#8220;OK&#8221; status.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  You&#8217;ll see this error if the parser doesn&#8217;t recognize a valid Sitemap file. Here are a few things<br \/>\n  to check if you see this error:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n    Confirm that the file uses the correct header.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For a Sitemap file, the header can look like this:<\/li>\n<div><\/div>\n<li>For a Sitemap index file, the header can look like this:<\/li>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n    Ensure the namespace in the header is<br \/>\n    <code>https:\/\/www.google.com\/schemas\/sitemap\/0.84<\/code>. Note that this must end in 0.84. If<br \/>\n    it ends in .84, you&#8217;ll see an error.\n  <\/li>\n<li>\n    Make sure each XML attribute is enclosed in either single quotes (<code>'<\/code>) or double<br \/>\n    quotes (<code>\"<\/code>) and that those quotes are straight, not curly.
