The <code>404<\/code> response code<br \/>\n  should be returned for a file &#8220;Not Found&#8221;.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  When a user sends a request for your webpage, your webserver looks for the corresponding file for<br \/>\n  the URL. If a file exists, your webserver likely responds with a <code>200<\/code> response code<br \/>\n  along with a message (often the content of the page, such as the HTML).\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"200 response code flow chart\" src=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/kb-gorsel\/g-846f51dc656e.png\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>\n  So what&#8217;s a <code>404<\/code>? Let&#8217;s say that in the link to &#8220;Visit Google Apps&#8221; above, the link is<br \/>\n  broken because of a typing error when coding the page. Now when a user clicks &#8220;Visit Google Apps&#8221;,<br \/>\n  the particular webpage\/file isn&#8217;t located by the webserver.
