Check out our <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/sitemaps-overview\/\">current documentation on sitemaps<\/a>.<\/aside>\n<p class=\"gargardate\">Tuesday, January 13, 2009<\/p>\n<p>\n  It&#8217;s been well over three years since we initially announced the<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/code.google.com\/p\/sitemap-generators\/downloads\/list\" class=\"external-link\">Python Sitemap generator<\/a><br \/>\n  in<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/googleblog.blogspot.com\/2005\/06\/webmaster-friendly.html\" class=\"external-link\">June 2005<\/a>.<br \/>\n  In this time, we&#8217;ve seen lots of people create great<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/code.google.com\/p\/sitemap-generators\/wiki\/SitemapGenerators\" class=\"external-link\">third-party sitemap generators<\/a><br \/>\n  to help webmasters create better sitemap files. While most sitemap<br \/>\n  generators either crawl websites or list the files on a server, we have created a different kind<br \/>\n  of sitemap generator that uses several ways to find URLs on your website and then allows you to<br \/>\n  automatically create and maintain different kinds of sitemap files.\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Google Sitemap Generator screenshot of the admin console\" src=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/kb-gorsel\/g-fac80b09dfa9.png\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"about-google-sitemap-generator\" tabindex=\"-1\">About Google Sitemap Generator<\/h2>\n<p>\n  Our new open-source<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/code.google.com\/p\/googlesitemapgenerator\/\" class=\"external-link\">Google Sitemap Generator<\/a><br \/>\n  finds new and modified URLs based on your webserver&#8217;s traffic, its log<br \/>\n  files, or the files found on the server. By combining these methods, Google Sitemap Generator can<br \/>\n  be very fast in finding these URLs and calculating relevant metadata, thereby making your sitemap<br \/>\n  files as effective as possible. Once Google Sitemap Generator has collected the URLs, it can<br \/>\n  create the following <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/sitemaps-overview\/\">sitemap files<\/a> for you:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n    XML sitemaps for Web Search according to<br \/>\n    the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sitemaps.org\/\" class=\"external-link\">sitemaps.org<\/a> standard\n  <\/li>\n<li>\n    Mobile sitemaps for mobile-friendly websites\n  <\/li>\n<li>\n    Code Search sitemaps for source code that you make available to users\n  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n  In addition, Google Sitemap Generator can send a<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/help\/blogsearch\/about_pinging\" class=\"external-link\">ping to Google Blog Search<\/a><br \/>\n  for all of your new or modified URLs. You can optionally include the URLs of the sitemap files in<br \/>\n  your robots.txt file as well as &#8220;ping&#8221; the other search engines that support the<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sitemaps.org\/\" class=\"external-link\">sitemaps.org<\/a> standard.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Sending the URLs to the right sitemap files is simple thanks to the web-based administration<br \/>\n  console. This console gives you access to various features that make administration a piece of<br \/>\n  cake while maintaining a high level of security by default.\n<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"getting-started\" tabindex=\"-1\">Getting started<\/h2>\n<p>\n  Google Sitemap Generator is a server plug-in that can be installed on both Linux\/Apache and<br \/>\n  Microsoft IIS Windows-based servers. As with other server-side plug-ins, you will need to have<br \/>\n  administrative access to the server to install it.
