This is because the default IP<br \/>\n  addresses of the Googlebot crawler appear to be based in the USA. In addition, the crawler<br \/>\n  sends HTTP requests without setting <code>Accept-Language<\/code> in the request header.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"key-point\"><b>Important<\/b>: We recommend using separate locale URL<br \/>\n  configurations and annotating them with <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/localized-versions\/\"><code>rel=\"alternate\"<\/code><br \/>\n  hreflang annotations<\/a>.<\/aside>\n<h2 id=\"geo-distributed-crawling\" tabindex=\"-1\">Geo-distributed crawling<\/h2>\n<p>Googlebot crawls with IP addresses based outside the USA, in addition to the US-based IP addresses.<\/p>\n<p>As we have always recommended, when Googlebot appears to come from a certain country, treat<br \/>\n  it like you would treat any other user from that country. This means that if you block<br \/>\n  USA-based users from accessing your content, but allow visitors from Australia to see it,<br \/>\n  your server should block Googlebot if it appears to be coming from the USA, but allow access<br \/>\n  to Googlebot if it appears to come from Australia.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"other-considerations\" tabindex=\"-1\">Other considerations<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Googlebot uses the same user agent string for all crawling configurations. Learn more about<br \/>\n    the <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/google-crawlers\/\">user agent strings used<br \/>\n    by Google crawlers<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>You can <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/verify-requests-from-google-crawlers-and-fetchers\/\">verify Googlebot<br \/>\n    geo-distributed crawls<\/a> using reverse DNS lookups.<\/li>\n<li>If your site is using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rfc-editor.org\/rfc\/rfc9309.html\" class=\"external-link\"><i>robots exclusion protocol<\/i><\/a>,<br \/>\n    make sure you apply it consistently<br \/>\n    across locales.
