{"id":23745,"date":"2005-09-30T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2005-09-30T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/all-new\/"},"modified":"2005-09-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2005-09-30T00:00:00","slug":"all-new","status":"publish","type":"ar_kb","link":"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/all-new\/","title":{"rendered":"All new!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"gargardate\">September 30, 2005<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve added some new features to Google Sitemaps.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"date-stamps-for-statistics\" tabindex=\"-1\">Date stamps for statistics<\/h2>\n<p>\n  For information we provide once you&#8217;ve<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/answer\/9008080\" class=\"external-link\">verified your site<\/a>,<br \/>\n  we now let you know when we tried to crawl the URLs we tell you about.\n<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"enhanced-support-for-special-characters-in-urls\" tabindex=\"-1\">Enhanced support for special characters in URLs<\/h2>\n<p>\n  Note that the Sitemap URL must be<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/sitemaps-overview\/#escaped\">encoded for readability<\/a> by<br \/>\n  the webserver on which it is located. In addition, it can contain only ASCII characters. It can&#8217;t<br \/>\n  contain upper ASCII characters, certain control codes, or special characters such as * and {}.<br \/>\n  If your Sitemap URL contains out-of-range characters, escape them when you submit the URL.<br \/>\n  Otherwise, you&#8217;ll receive an error when you try to submit it. You can find more information on<br \/>\n  escaping out-of-range characters by doing a Google search for<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=html+escape+codes\" class=\"external-link\"><span>html escape codes<\/span><\/a>.<br \/>\n  All URLs must follow the<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/asg.web.cmu.edu\/rfc\/rfc3986.html\" class=\"external-link\">RFC-3986<\/a><br \/>\n  standard for URIs and the<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ietf.org\/rfc\/rfc3987.txt\" class=\"external-link\">RFC-3987<\/a><br \/>\n  standard for IRIs.\n<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"documentation-updates\" tabindex=\"-1\">Documentation updates<\/h2>\n<p>\n  We&#8217;ve updated the documentation for these new features, as well as added information about the<br \/>\n  latest version of the<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/sitemaps-overview\/\">Sitemap Generator<\/a><br \/>\n  script and about<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/sitemaps-overview\/\">OAI-PMH submissions<\/a> (both of which<br \/>\n  we talked about in earlier blog posts). We&#8217;ve also provided some information about<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/sitemaps-overview\/#troubleshoot\">errors you might come across<\/a><br \/>\n  when you submit a Sitemap. All we&#8217;ve made these updates in<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/google-sitemaps-in-your-language\/\">every language<\/a> for which we<br \/>\n  provide documentation.\n<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"resolved-issues\" tabindex=\"-1\">Resolved issues<\/h2>\n<p>\n  And we&#8217;ve resolved two issues with this release that you brought to our attention in the<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/community\" class=\"external-link\">Google Group<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n    Some of you experienced trouble when clicking on the <b>verify<\/b> link on the My Sitemaps page.<br \/>\n    Instead of being asked to verify, the My Sitemaps page simply reloaded. We&#8217;ve fixed this.\n  <\/li>\n<li>\n    Some of you had trouble adding Sitemaps from Internet Explorer. This happened when you pressed<br \/>\n    <b>Enter<\/b> rather than clicked the <b>Submit URL<\/b> link. You saw a message that said your<br \/>\n    Sitemap was submitted, but the Sitemap wasn&#8217;t added to your My Sitemaps page. We&#8217;ve fixed this<br \/>\n    too.\n  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n  If either happen to you, or if you experience any other trouble, please let us know by posting in<br \/>\n  the<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/community\" class=\"external-link\">Google Group<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Several of these features were a direct result of your feedback.
