Today, we&#8217;re also launching video support for schema.org.<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/\" class=\"external-link\">Schema.org<\/a> is a joint effort between<br \/>\n  Google, Microsoft, Yahoo! and Yandex and is now the recommended way to describe videos on the web.<br \/>\n  The markup is very simple and can be easily added to most websites.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Adding <a href=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/VideoObject\" class=\"external-link\">schema.org video markup<\/a><br \/>\n  is just like adding any other schema.org data. Simply define an <code>itemscope<\/code>, an<br \/>\n  <code>itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/VideoObject\"<\/code>, and make sure to set the <code>name<\/code>,<br \/>\n  <code>description<\/code>, and <code>thumbnailUrl<\/code> properties. You&#8217;ll also need either the<br \/>\n  <code>embedURL<\/code>&mdash;the location of the video player&mdash;or the<br \/>\n  <code>contentURL<\/code>&mdash;the location of the video file. A typical video player with markup<br \/>\n  might look like this:\n<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>\n  Using schema.org markup will not affect any<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/video-sitemaps-and-alternatives\/\">Video Sitemaps<\/a> o<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/video-sitemaps-and-alternatives\/#sitemap_alternatives\">mRSS feeds<\/a><br \/>\n  you&#8217;re already using. In fact, we still recommend that you also use a Video Sitemap because it<br \/>\n  alerts us of any new or updated videos faster and provides advanced functionality such as country<br \/>\n  and platform restrictions.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Since this means that there are now a number of ways to tell Google about your videos, choosing<br \/>\n  the right format can seem difficult.
