We&#8217;ve evolved the design and<br \/>\n  brought key moments to more videos, including mobile and desktop, across all regions where Google<br \/>\n  Search is available. Key moments are helping more people connect directly with the most relevant<br \/>\n  segments of videos, and navigate them like chapters in a book.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Today, we&#8217;re launching a new way for you to enable key moments for videos on your site, without<br \/>\n  the effort of manually labeling each segment. All you have to do is tell Google the URL pattern<br \/>\n  for skipping to a specific timestamp within your video. Google will then use AI to identify key<br \/>\n  moments in the video, and display links directly to those moments in Search results.\n<\/p>\n<aside class=\"note\">If you prefer to manually label key moments in your videos, you can continue to<br \/>\n  use <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/video-videoobject-clip-broadcastevent-structured-data\/#clip\"><code>Clip<\/code> markup<\/a>. You can also opt out of the key<br \/>\n  moments feature by using the <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/title-links\/#nosnippet\"><code>nosnippet<\/code><br \/>\n  <code>meta<\/code> tag<\/a>.<\/aside>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/kb-gorsel\/g-ff1b39f42baf.png\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"key moments in Google Search\" class=\"screenshot attempt-left\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/kb-gorsel\/g-92f2b0c74353.png\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"key moments in Google Search\" class=\"screenshot attempt-right\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"clear\">\n  We first <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/search-at-google-i-o-2021\/\">announced<\/a> the <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/video-videoobject-clip-broadcastevent-structured-data\/#seek\"><code>SeekToAction<\/code><\/a><br \/>\n  beta test during Google I\/O, and as of today we&#8217;re moving the feature out of beta and supporting<br \/>\n  this markup for any site with videos. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when implementing this<br \/>\n  markup:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your URLs must have the ability to deep link into some point other than the start point in the<br \/>\n    video. For example, <code>https:\/\/www.example.com\/example?t=30<\/code> starts 30 seconds into a<br \/>\n    video.<\/li>\n<li>Use <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/video-videoobject-clip-broadcastevent-structured-data\/#seek\"><code>SeekToAction<\/code> markup<\/a> on every<br \/>\n    video page where you&#8217;d like Google to automatically identify key moments, and follow our<br \/>\n    additional <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/video-videoobject-clip-broadcastevent-structured-data\/#clip-guidelines\">guidelines<\/a>. Here&#8217;s a<br \/>\n    detailed <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/video-videoobject-clip-broadcastevent-structured-data\/#seektoaction\">example<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>To automatically identify key moments in your video, Google must be able to <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/video-search\/#allow-fetch\">fetch<br \/>\n    your video content files<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n  Note that <code>SeekToAction<\/code> markup applies only to videos embedded on your own site. If<br \/>\n  you post videos on third-party platforms where you don&#8217;t control the schema.org markup, you can<br \/>\n  reach out to those platforms to see if this markup is supported.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  We hope you&#8217;ll find <code>SeekToAction<\/code> markup an easier, more efficient way to enable key<br \/>\n  moments and help people engage more deeply with your videos.
