This guide focuses on a <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/new-search-experiences-in-eea-rich-results-aggregator-units-and-refinement-chips\/\">new carousel rich result that&#8217;s in beta<\/a>,<br \/>\n  which is a list-like rich result that people can scroll horizontally to see more entities<br \/>\n  from a given site (also known as a host carousel). Each tile in the carousel may have information<br \/>\n  from your site about the price, rating, and images for entities on the page.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  To be eligible for this beta rich result, add <code>ItemList<\/code> structured data in combination<br \/>\n  with at least one one of the following supported structured data items:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#localbusiness\"><code>LocalBusiness<\/code><\/a><br \/>\n    and its subtypes, for example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/Restaurant\" class=\"external-link\"><code>Restaurant<\/code><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/Hotel\" class=\"external-link\"><code>Hotel<\/code><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/VacationRental\" class=\"external-link\"><code>VacationRental<\/code><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#product\"><code>Product<\/code><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#event\"><code>Event<\/code><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n  Here&#8217;s how carousels can look in Google Search when you add <code>ItemList<\/code> markup in<br \/>\n  combination with a supported content type:\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/kb-gorsel\/g-d2875e245389.png\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"350\" alt=\"New carousel rich result\"><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"availability\" tabindex=\"-1\">Feature availability<\/h2>\n<p>\n  This feature is in beta and you may see changes in requirements or guidelines, as we develop this<br \/>\n  feature. This feature is also only available in <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/statistics-explained\/index.php?title=Glossary:European_Economic_Area_(EEA)#:~:text=See%20EEA%20disambiguation%20page%20for,and%20Norway%3B%20excluding%20Switzerland).\" class=\"external-link\">European Economic Area<\/a><br \/>\n  (EEA) countries, Turkey, and South Africa, on both desktop and mobile devices. In EEA countries,<br \/>\n  this experience is available for queries related to hotels, vacation rentals, ground transportation,<br \/>\n  flights, local businesses, things to do (events, tours, and activities), and shopping. In Turkey,<br \/>\n  this experience is only available for queries related to hotels, vacation rentals, and local<br \/>\n  businesses. If you&#8217;re new to structured data, you can learn more about<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/structured-data-intro\/\">how structured data works<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Here&#8217;s an overview of how to add structured data to your site.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Pick a single summary page that contains some information about every entity in the list.<br \/>\n    For example, a category page that lists the &#8220;Top hotels in Paris&#8221;, with links out to specific detail<br \/>\n    pages on your site for more information about each hotel. You can<br \/>\n    mix and match different types of entities (for example, hotels, restaurants), if needed for your<br \/>\n    scenario. For example, if you have a &#8220;Things to do in Switzerland&#8221; article that lists both local<br \/>\n    events and local businesses.\n  <\/li>\n<li>Add the <a href=\"#structured-data-type-definitions\">required properties<\/a> to that summary<br \/>\n    page. For example, if you have<br \/>\n        a list of hotels and vacation rentals on your page,  use both <code>Hotel<\/code> and<br \/>\n        <code>VacationRental<\/code> types. While it&#8217;s ideal to use the type that&#8217;s closest to your<br \/>\n        scenario, you can choose to use a more generic type (for example, <code>LocalBusiness<\/code>).\n      <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Follow the <a href=\"#guidelines\">guidelines<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Validate your code using the<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/search.google.com\/test\/rich-results\" class=\"external-link\">Rich Results Test<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Deploy a few pages that include your structured data and use the <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/answer\/9012289\" class=\"external-link\">URL Inspection tool<\/a> to test how Google sees the page. Be sure that your page is<br \/>\n    accessible to Google and not blocked by a robots.txt file, the <code>noindex<\/code> tag, or<br \/>\n    login requirements. If the page looks okay, you can<br \/>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/recrawl-request\/\" class=\"external-link\">ask Google to<br \/>\n      recrawl your URLs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"note\"><b>Note<\/b>: Allow time for re-crawling and re-indexing. Remember that it<br \/>\n    may take several days after publishing a page for Google to find and crawl it.<\/aside>\n<\/li>\n<li>To keep Google informed of future changes, we recommend that you<br \/>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/build-submit-sitemap\/\">submit a sitemap<\/a>. You<br \/>\n    can automate this with the<br \/>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/webmaster-tools\/search-console-api-original\/v3\/sitemaps\" class=\"external-link\">Search Console Sitemap API<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"guidelines\" tabindex=\"-1\">Guidelines<\/h2>\n<p>\n  For your page to be eligible for carousel rich results (beta), you must follow the <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/search-essentials-overview\/\">Search Essentials<\/a><br \/>\n  and <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/structured-data-guidelines\/\">general structured data guidelines<\/a>. In addition,<br \/>\n  the following guidelines apply to carousel rich results (beta):\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use of generic types is allowed. However, to use recommended properties, you must use the<br \/>\n    respective types. For example, to use <code>amenityFeature<\/code>, use the <code>LodgingBusiness<\/code><br \/>\n    type.<\/li>\n<li>Use of additional or extra fields is allowed, but may not appear in the rich result.<\/li>\n<li>Your site must have a summary page and multiple detail pages. Currently, this feature isn&#8217;t<br \/>\n    designed to support other scenarios, such as an all-in-one page where the &#8220;details&#8221; are anchor<br \/>\n    points within the same page.<\/li>\n<li>The markup must be on a summary or category page, which is a list-like page that contains information<br \/>\n    about at least three entities and then links out to other pages on your site for more information<br \/>\n    on those entities. While you don&#8217;t need to add markup to the detail pages, you must include the<br \/>\n    detail page URLs in your summary page&#8217;s markup.\n  <\/li>\n<li>Mark up all items that are on the summary or category page. For paginated categories, add an<br \/>\n    <code>ItemList<\/code> to each subsequent page and include the entities that are listed on that<br \/>\n    page. For infinite scroll, focus on marking up the entities that are initially loaded in the<br \/>\n    viewport.\n  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"examples\" tabindex=\"-1\">Examples<\/h2>\n<p>The following is a high level structure of the carousel. \/>\n  result. You can also include the recommended properties to add more information about your content,<br \/>\n  which could provide a better user experience.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"itemlist\" tabindex=\"-1\"><code>ItemList<\/code><\/h3>\n<p>\n  <code>ItemList<\/code> is the container item that holds all elements in the list. All URLs of the<br \/>\n   elements in the list must point to different pages on the same domain.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The full definition of <code>ItemList<\/code> is available at<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ItemList\" class=\"external-link\">schema.org\/ItemList<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<table class=\"responsive fixed\">\n<colgroup>\n<col width=\"20%\"><\/colgroup>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th colspan=\"2\">Required properties<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr id=\"listitem\">\n<td><code>itemListElement<\/code><\/td>\n<td>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ListItem\" class=\"external-link\"><code>ListItem<\/code><\/a>\n        <\/p>\n<p>\n          List of items. Don&#8217;t include<br \/>\n          logos in this image property.\n        <\/p>\n<p>Additional image guidelines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Image URLs must be crawlable and indexable. To check if Google can access your URLs, use<br \/>\n      the <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/answer\/9012289\" class=\"external-link\">URL Inspection tool<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Images must represent the marked up content.<\/li>\n<li>Images must be in a file format that&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/images-best-practices\/#supported-image-formats\">supported by Google Images<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>For best results, we recommend providing multiple high-resolution images (minimum of 50K pixels when<br \/>\n      multiplying width and height) with the following aspect ratios: 16&#215;9, 4&#215;3, and 1&#215;1.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><code>name<\/code><\/td>\n<td>\n<p>\n          <a href=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/Text\" class=\"external-link\"><code>Text<\/code><\/a>\n        <\/p>\n<p>\n          The string name of the entity or item.
