{"id":25587,"date":"2026-09-05T02:46:00","date_gmt":"2026-09-04T23:46:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/google-search-technical-requirements\/"},"modified":"2026-09-05T02:46:00","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T23:46:00","slug":"google-search-technical-requirements","status":"publish","type":"ar_kb","link":"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/google-search-technical-requirements\/","title":{"rendered":"Google Search technical requirements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n      It costs nothing to get your page in search results, no matter what anyone tries to tell you.<br \/>\n      As long as your page meets the minimum technical requirements, it&#8217;s eligible to be<br \/>\n      indexed by Google Search:\n    <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Googlebot isn&#8217;t blocked.<\/li>\n<li>The page works, meaning that Google receives an HTTP <code>200 (success)<\/code> status code.<\/li>\n<li>The page has indexable content.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<aside class=\"important\">Just because a page meets these requirements doesn&#8217;t<br \/>\n      mean that a page will be indexed; indexing isn&#8217;t guaranteed.<\/aside>\n<h2 class=\"numbered\" id=\"googlebot\" tabindex=\"-1\">Googlebot isn&#8217;t blocked (it can find and access the page)<\/h2>\n<p>\n      Google only indexes pages on the web that are accessible to the public and which don&#8217;t<br \/>\n      block our crawler, <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/googlebot\/\">Googlebot<\/a>,<br \/>\n      from crawling them. If a page is made private, such as requiring a log-in to view it,<br \/>\n      Googlebot will not crawl it. Similarly, if one of the<br \/>\n      <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/control-what-you-share-with-google\/\">several mechanisms<\/a> are<br \/>\n      used to block Google from indexing, the page will not be indexed.\n    <\/p>\n<h3 id=\"check-if-googlebot-can-find-and-access-your-page\" tabindex=\"-1\">Check if Googlebot can find and access your page<\/h3>\n<p>\n      Pages that are blocked by <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/robots-txt-intro\/\">robots.txt<\/a><br \/>\n      are unlikely to show in Google Search results. To see a list of pages that are inaccessible to<br \/>\n      Google (but that you would like to see in Search results), use both the<br \/>\n      <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/answer\/7440203\" class=\"external-link\">Page Indexing report<\/a><br \/>\n      and <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/answer\/9679690\" class=\"external-link\">Crawl Stats report<\/a><br \/>\n      in Search Console. Each report may contain different information about your URLs, so it&#8217;s a good idea to look at both reports.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      To test a specific page, use the <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/answer\/9012289\" class=\"external-link\">URL Inspection tool<\/a>.\n    <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"numbered\" id=\"page-works\" tabindex=\"-1\">The page works (it&#8217;s not an error page)<\/h2>\n<p>\n      Google only indexes pages that are served with an<br \/>\n      <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/how-http-status-codes-affect-googles-crawlers\/#2xx-success\">HTTP <code>200 (success)<\/code> status code<\/a>.<br \/>\n      Client and server error pages aren&#8217;t indexed. You can check the HTTP status code for a given<br \/>\n      page with the <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/answer\/9012289\" class=\"external-link\">URL Inspection tool<\/a>.\n    <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"numbered\" id=\"indexable-content\" tabindex=\"-1\">The page has indexable content<\/h2>\n<p>\n      Once Googlebot can find and access a working page, Google checks the page for indexable<br \/>\n      content. Indexable content means:\n    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The textual content is in a <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/file-types-indexed\/\">file type that Google Search supports<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The content doesn&#8217;t violate our <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/spam-policies\/\">spam policies<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<aside class=\"note\">\n      While blocking Googlebot with a robots.txt file will prevent crawling, a page&#8217;s URL might still appear<br \/>\n      in search results.
