Yandex is explicit: pages with this status do not mean the site has violations or ranking restrictions \u2014 those live on a different page entirely, under Security and violations.<\/p>\n<h2>Two different verdicts under one label<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Low-value.<\/strong> The page duplicates another, or has no content the robot can see. This is a technical finding and it is fixable.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Low-demand.<\/strong> The page has content and no errors, but there are no users or queries it could answer. This is an editorial finding, and no amount of technical work will change it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Telling the two apart is the whole job, because the remedies have nothing in common.<\/p>\n<h2>Fixing a low-value page<\/h2>\n<p>First establish whether the robot can see the content at all:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><code>title<\/code> and heading elements actually describe the page.<\/li>\n<li>Important content is not delivered as an image.<\/li>\n<li>Important content is not injected by JavaScript \u2014 check the HTML the robot receives through the server response tool, not the rendered page in your browser.<\/li>\n<li>Content is not inside an <code>iframe<\/code>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If the page genuinely has no value, hide it deliberately: <code>rel=\"canonical\"<\/code> to the original for duplicates, <code>Clean-param<\/code> in <code>robots.txt<\/code> for insignificant GET parameters, or <code>Disallow<\/code> \/ <code>noindex<\/code> for technical pages. An unwanted page left indexable is not neutral \u2014 it consumes crawl attention.<\/p>\n<h2>Fixing a low-demand page<\/h2>\n<p>Yandex&#8217;s advice is to look at the content rather than the markup, and to ask what query a real visitor would type. Wordstat, query statistics and query groups exist for exactly this. The uncomfortable case is a page written for a phrase nobody searches \u2014 it will not be included however well it is built.<\/p>\n<h2>Three facts worth quoting to a client<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>There is no index quota.<\/strong> Yandex states that all pages the algorithm considers useful are indexed regardless of how many there are. A large site is not competing against itself for slots.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The decision is re-evaluated almost daily.<\/strong> Pages appearing and disappearing without any change on the site is normal behaviour, not instability.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Deleted pages can still be listed as low-demand.<\/strong> The algorithm assesses what is already in the database; it does not re-crawl. Pages that once returned <code>200<\/code> keep their entry until the robot revisits.
