Unlike Google, Yandex both shows you what it produced and lets you influence it.<\/p>\n<h2>What the page gives you<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The list of sitelinks the robot has generated, per page.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to review them and, within limits, adjust which appear and in what order.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The value is mostly diagnostic. Reading Yandex&#8217;s selection tells you which sections it considers important, and that is a direct statement about how it understands the site&#8217;s structure \u2014 information no other report provides.<\/p>\n<h2>How to read the list<\/h2>\n<p>Three questions are worth asking of it:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Are the commercially important sections there?<\/strong> If the pages that generate revenue are absent while a support page and a blog category are present, the site&#8217;s internal linking is pointing the robot at the wrong places.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Is the wording usable?<\/strong> Sitelink text comes from page names. A sitelink reading &#8220;More&#8221; is a page-naming problem visible in search results.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Is anything there that should not be?<\/strong> A legacy section or a promotion that ended is a link users will still click.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What editing can and cannot do<\/h2>\n<p>You are adjusting a selection the robot made, not composing one. If a section was never generated, it cannot be added here \u2014 the fix is upstream: give the section a clear name, link to it from the main navigation, and let visitors use it. The robot generates sitelinks from popular internal destinations, so making a section genuinely popular is the mechanism.<\/p>\n<h2>After changes<\/h2>\n<p>Sitelinks update when the robot re-crawls and re-evaluates. Changes are not immediate, and a sitelink can be removed again if the robot later finds a more suitable page or the site structure changes.<\/p>\n<h2>Where it fits<\/h2>\n<p>Sitelink work belongs with snippet work: it changes how the result looks and how many people click it, without changing position.
