Four types are supported: <code>SoftwareApplication<\/code>, <code>MobileApplication<\/code>, <code>WebApplication<\/code> and <code>VideoGame<\/code>.<\/p>\n<h2>The rule that decides whether anything appears<\/h2>\n<p><code>description<\/code> is the only required field \u2014 but <strong>at least two optional properties must also be present<\/strong> for a snippet to be generated. And even then, if Yandex judges the ordinary snippet more informative, it uses that instead. A minimally marked-up page produces nothing at all.<\/p>\n<h2>The optional fields, with their quirks<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><code>applicationSubCategory<\/code><\/strong> \u2014 the category (&#8220;Players&#8221;, &#8220;Races&#8221;, &#8220;Online game&#8221;). Several values are allowed, and the snippet uses the first few <em>up to a combined length of 24 characters<\/em>. Long category names are simply cut off, so the most descriptive short label should come first.<\/li>\n<li><strong><code>fileSize<\/code><\/strong> \u2014 a bare number is interpreted as <strong>kilobytes<\/strong>. Units can be given explicitly (KB, MB, GB), and a site publishing &#8220;42&#8221; meaning megabytes will advertise 42 kilobytes.<\/li>\n<li><strong><code>interactionCount<\/code><\/strong> \u2014 download count, written in a specific form: <code>UserDownloads:XXX<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><code>operatingSystem<\/code><\/strong> \u2014 with its own syntax. Accepted values include <code>win<\/code>, <code>windows X<\/code>, <code>xp<\/code>, <code>vista<\/code>, <code>Windows Mobile<\/code>, <code>Mac<\/code>, <code>iOs<\/code>, <code>iPhone<\/code>, <code>iPad<\/code>, <code>Android<\/code>. Versions of one system are separated by <strong>commas<\/strong>; different systems by a <strong>vertical bar<\/strong>: <code>Windows 8 | Android | iOS<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><code>price<\/code> and <code>priceCurrency<\/code><\/strong> \u2014 as properties of a nested <code>Offer<\/code>, currency in ISO 4217. A price of <code>0<\/code> makes the snippet display <strong>&#8220;Free&#8221;<\/strong>, which is the single most effective value on this list for a free application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to implement it<\/h2>\n<p>Take the description as given, then add the three or four facts a user actually decides on: price (or zero), size with explicit units, supported systems in the required separator syntax, and downloads.
