But in the past, when you made changes to the structure of your site, we might<br \/>\n  not have discovered your new content. That meant a lost opportunity for your readers, and for you.<br \/>\n  Unless you regularly checked Webmaster Tools, you might not even have realized that your new<br \/>\n  content wasn&#8217;t showing up in Google News. To prevent this from happening, we are letting you make<br \/>\n  changes to our record of your news site using the just launched<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/partnerdash.google.com\/partnerdash\/d\/news\" class=\"external-link\">Google News Publisher Center<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  With the Publisher Center, your potential readers can be more informed about the articles they&#8217;re<br \/>\n  clicking on and you benefit from better discovery and classification of your news content. After<br \/>\n  verifying ownership of your site using Google Webmaster Tools, you can use the Publisher Center to<br \/>\n  directly make the following changes:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n    <b>Update your news site details<\/b>, including changing your site name and labeling your<br \/>\n    publication with any relevant source labels (for example, &#8220;Blog&#8221;, &#8220;Satire&#8221; or &#8220;Opinion&#8221;)\n  <\/li>\n<li>\n    <b>Update your section URLs<\/b> when you change your site structure (for example, when you add a<br \/>\n    new section such as https:\/\/example.com\/2014commonwealthgames or<br \/>\n    https:\/\/example.com\/elections2014)\n  <\/li>\n<li>\n    <b>Label your sections<\/b> with a specific topic (for example, &#8220;Technology&#8221; or &#8220;Politics&#8221;)\n  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n  Whenever you make changes to your site, we&#8217;d recommend also checking our record of it in the<br \/>\n  Publisher Center and updating it if necessary.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/partnerdash.google.com\/partnerdash\/d\/news\" class=\"external-link\">Try it out<\/a>, or<br \/>\n  learn more about<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/news\/publisher\/topic\/3189759\" class=\"external-link\">how to get started<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  At the moment the tool is only available to publishers in the U.S. but we plan to introduce it in<br \/>\n  other countries soon and add more features.  In the meantime, we&#8217;d love to<br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/tools\/feedback\/intl\/en\/\" class=\"external-link\">hear from you<\/a><br \/>\n  about what works well and what doesn&#8217;t.
