Failure to take timely action on expired jobs may result in a <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/answer\/2604824\" class=\"external-link\">manual action<\/a>.<\/aside>\n<p><a name=\"remove\"><\/a>To remove a job posting that is no longer available, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure your page is removed by doing one of the following actions:\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure the <code>validThrough<\/code> property is populated and in the past.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the page entirely (so that requesting it returns a <code>404<\/code> \u0438\u043b\u0438 <code>410<\/code> status code).<\/li>\n<li>Remove <code>JobPosting<\/code> structured data from the page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Keep Google informed of changes:<br \/>\n<aside class=\"note\">For job posting URLs, we recommend using the Indexing API instead of<br \/>\n              sitemaps because the Indexing API prompts Googlebot to crawl your page sooner than<br \/>\n              removing the URL from the sitemap. However, we still recommend<br \/>\n              <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/sitemaps-overview\/\">submitting a sitemap<\/a><br \/>\n              for coverage of your entire site.<\/aside>\n<ul>\n<li>Use the <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/search\/apis\/indexing-api\">Indexing API<\/a> to request removal of<br \/>\n               a job posting URL from the Google Search index.<\/p>\n<p>We ingest the entire sitemap and recrawl the pages with <code>lastmod<\/code> times that<br \/>\n                are more recent than the last time those pages were crawled.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"remote-jobs\" tabindex=\"-1\">Mark up work from home jobs<\/h2>\n<p>\n    To make it easier for job seekers to discover work-from-home and remote job opportunities, we<br \/>\n    encourage you to add structured data to your work from home jobs.\n  <\/p>\n<p>\n   Here&#8217;s how work from home jobs can appear in Google Search:\n  <\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/kb-gorsel\/g-04c593f52daa.png\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Work from home job posting example in Search results\"><\/p>\n<p>\n    You can also try it out in Google Search:\n  <\/p>\n<p>\n    <a class=\"button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=work+from+home+jobs\" class=\"external-link\"><span class=\"material-icons\" aria-hidden=\"true\" aria-hidden=\"true\">search<\/span> Work from home jobs<\/a>\n  <\/p>\n<aside class=\"key-point\"><b>Feature availability<\/b>: The actual appearance in search results might be<br \/>\n    different, and you may not see work from home jobs appearing in your region right away. To make<br \/>\n    your work from home jobs eligible for display in the feature, mark<br \/>\n    up your work from home jobs in advance.<\/aside>\n<p>There are three properties that help Google understand which jobs<br \/>\n       can be performed from home:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><code><a href=\"#job-location-type\">jobLocationType<\/a><\/code>: Use this property to<br \/>\n        specify that the job is a Work from home job.<\/li>\n<li><code><a href=\"#applicant-location-requirements\">applicantLocationRequirements<\/a><\/code>:<br \/>\n        Use this property to specify geographic location(s) in which employees may be located for<br \/>\n        work from home jobs. At least one country is required.<\/li>\n<li><code><a href=\"#job-location\">jobLocation<\/a><\/code>: Use this property to specify where<br \/>\n        the job can be physically performed. You don&#8217;t need to use this property if there isn&#8217;t a<br \/>\n        physical location where a job can be performed (for example, an office or construction<br \/>\n        site). Note that the <code>addressCountry<\/code> property must be specified if this property<br \/>\n        is used.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here are some common scenarios for work from home jobs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The job can be performed at home, but there are geographical restrictions for<br \/>\n        where the employee can be located. The employee doesn&#8217;t have to go to a physical<br \/>\n        job location or office. Use <code>applicantLocationRequirements<\/code> and<br \/>\n        <code>jobLocationType<\/code>.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>The job can be performed at a physical work site located in Detroit, MI, or at home in<br \/>\n        the US. Use <code>jobLocation<\/code> and <code>jobLocationType<\/code>.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>The job can be performed at a physical location in Detroit or at home in either<br \/>\n        Michigan or Texas. Use <code>jobLocation<\/code>, <code>jobLocationType<\/code>, and <code>applicantLocationRequirements<\/code>.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"company-logo\" tabindex=\"-1\">Update your company logo<\/h2>\n<p>Google uses the same logo for your job postings as the image shown in your company&#8217;s Knowledge<br \/>\n    Graph card. You can <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/websearch\/answer\/6325583\" class=\"external-link\">suggest a change<\/a><br \/>\n     if you prefer a different logo, or else indicate your preferred logo (for both your<br \/>\n    company&#8217;s Google knowledge panel and its job postings)<br \/>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/organization-organization-structured-data\/#logo\">using structured data<\/a>.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"note\"><b>Note<\/b>: In most cases, Google will review your request within a few<br \/>\n    days.<\/aside>\n<p>If you have a third-party job site, you can provide a different logo for a given organization<br \/>\n    than the image shown in the organization&#8217;s Google knowledge panel. Google will pick the best logo<br \/>\n    to display in Search results, whether it&#8217;s the knowledge panel logo or the<br \/>\n    <code>hiringOrganization<\/code> logo. The <code>logo<\/code><br \/>\n    property is only eligible to be shown on your job site, and isn&#8217;t treated as the canonical logo<br \/>\n    for the organization. For more information, see <a href=\"#hiring\">hiringOrganization<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"technical-guidelines\" tabindex=\"-1\">Technical guidelines<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Put structured data on the most detailed leaf page possible. Don&#8217;t add structured data to<br \/>\n        pages intended to present a list of jobs (for example, search result pages). Instead, apply<br \/>\n        structured data to the most specific page describing a single job with its<br \/>\n        relevant details.<\/li>\n<li>Add a <code>JobPosting<\/code> property for each job posting that you want to advertise. The structured<br \/>\n        data must appear on the same page as the job description that job seekers can read in their<br \/>\n        browser.<\/li>\n<li>Most properties must only occur once in your job posting web page, unless the description<br \/>\n        specifically indicates that it can be added more than once.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If you choose to use sitemaps to keep Google informed of changes to job posting URLs,<br \/>\n        follow the <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/build-submit-sitemap\/#general-guidelines\">general sitemap guidelines<\/a>.<br \/>\n         In addition, the following sitemap guidelines apply to job posting URLs.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure Googlebot can access the URLs in the sitemap. Be sure that the URLs you include in the<br \/>\n            sitemap are not behind a firewall or disallowed by your robots.txt file.<\/li>\n<li>Use as accurate a time as possible for the <code>&lt;lastmod&gt;<\/code> (sitemap),<br \/>\n            <code>&lt;pubDate&gt;<\/code> (RSS), or <code>&lt;updated&gt;<\/code> (Atom) values to indicate<br \/>\n            when the page was added or changed. The value must be the last time that the content at the<br \/>\n            URL changed. It&#8217;s important that you use accurate times; crawl bandwidth is limited and accurate<br \/>\n            times help us avoid re-crawling pages that haven&#8217;t changed. In addition, the more Google has to<br \/>\n            crawl your pages, the more load will be placed on your servers.<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t include search results pages, list pages, or other dynamic pages in the sitemap.<\/li>\n<li>The URLs in the sitemap must include<br \/>\n            <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/specify-canonical\/\">the canonical page<\/a><br \/>\n            for each job posting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"content-policies\" tabindex=\"-1\">\n      Job posting content policies<br \/>\n    <\/h2>\n<p>\n      We created the job posting content policies to ensure that our users are connected with jobs<br \/>\n      that are open, relevant, and easy to apply to. The<br \/>\n      <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/structured-data-guidelines\/\">general structured data guidelines<\/a> and<br \/>\n      <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/spam-policies\/\">spam policies for Google web search<\/a><br \/>\n      also apply to job postings. If we find content that violates these<br \/>\n      policies, we&#8217;ll respond appropriately, which may include taking<br \/>\n      <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/webmasters\/answer\/9044175\" class=\"external-link\">manual action<\/a> and removing<br \/>\n      the job posting(s) from the job search experience on Google.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"irrelevant-content\" tabindex=\"-1\">Irrelevant content<\/h3>\n<p>\n      The <code>JobPosting<\/code> markup must only be used on pages that contain a single job<br \/>\n      posting. This includes job postings with the primary<br \/>\n        purpose of collecting information about applicants, rather than seeking to employ these<br \/>\n        applicants.<\/li>\n<li>Job titles, description, and other details that use <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/spam-policies\/#keyword-stuffing\">keyword stuffing<\/a><br \/>\n        to manipulate search rankings.<\/li>\n<li>Providing false location data that does not match the actual location of the job.<\/li>\n<li>Job postings on behalf of an organization or company without authorization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"profanity\" tabindex=\"-1\">Profanity and vulgar language <\/h3>\n<p>\n      We don&#8217;t allow job postings that contain obscene, profane, or offensive language.\n    <\/p>\n<h3 id=\"advertisements\" tabindex=\"-1\">Advertisements disguised as a job posting<\/h3>\n<p>\n      We don&#8217;t allow promotional content disguised as a job posting, such as those posted by a<br \/>\n      third party (for example, <a href=\"https:\/\/alienroad.com\/google-bilgi-bankasi\/spam-policies\/#thin-affiliate-pages\">affiliate programs<\/a>).\n    <\/p>\n<h3 id=\"legal-removal\" tabindex=\"-1\">Legal removal requests <\/h3>\n<p>\n      If Google receives a complaint that content in a job posting may violate the law,<br \/>\n      the job posting will be handled in accordance with <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/legal\/answer\/3110420\" class=\"external-link\">Search policies<\/a>.\n    <\/p>\n<h3 id=\"expired-job-postings\" tabindex=\"-1\">Expired job postings<\/h3>\n<p>\n      We don&#8217;t allow expired job postings. If you<br \/>\n      prefer to not remove them, then you need to ensure the <code>validThrough<\/code> property is<br \/>\n      populated and in the past. This helps people review only the job postings that are still<br \/>\n      hiring.\n    <\/p>\n<h3 id=\"jobs-without-way-to-apply\" tabindex=\"-1\">Jobs without a way to apply<\/h3>\n<p>\n      We don&#8217;t allow job postings that don&#8217;t have a way to apply. This includes:\n    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Job postings that advertise events such as career fair invitations.<\/li>\n<li>Job postings that require a login to view the job description. Users must be able to see<br \/>\n        the job posting details without the need to login. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"resume-collection\" tabindex=\"-1\">Resume collection<\/h3>\n<p>\n      Publishers may solicit resume collections for open positions only. You<br \/>\n      may have received the Search Console message: &#8220;Structured data policy violation &#8211; A list page<br \/>\n      should not include structured data for individual jobs&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><i class=\"material-icons\" aria-hidden=\"true\">done<\/i> <b>Fix the issue<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Remove <code>JobPosting<\/code> structured data from the listing page. Usually,<br \/>\n      this is because of the following reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <code>validThrough<\/code> property is missing or isn&#8217;t set to the past.<\/li>\n<li>The page is still live.<\/li>\n<li>The job posting&#8217;s apply option flow directs to an expired job posting page.<\/li>\n<li><code>JobPosting<\/code> structured data is still present on the page even though the job<br \/>\n          has expired.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You may have received this Search Console message: &#8220;Structured data policy violation &#8211;<br \/>\n      JobPosting structured data on expired job&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><i class=\"material-icons\" aria-hidden=\"true\">done<\/i> <b>Fix the issue<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Remove the expired job posting by doing one of the following:\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure the <code>validThrough<\/code> property is populated and in the past.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the page entirely (so that requesting it returns a <code>404<\/code> \u0438\u043b\u0438 <code>410<\/code> status code).<\/li>\n<li>Remove <code>JobPosting<\/code> structured data from the page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Keep Google informed by using the <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/search\/apis\/indexing-api\">Indexing API<\/a>.<br \/>\n<aside class=\"note\">For job posting URLs, we recommend using the Indexing API instead of<br \/>\n            sitemaps because the Indexing API prompts Googlebot to crawl your page sooner than<br \/>\n            removing the URL from the sitemap. For more information about how Google selects your logo, see<br \/>\n      <a href=\"#company-logo\">Update your company logo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><i class=\"material-icons\" aria-hidden=\"true\">done<\/i> <b>Fix the issue<\/b><\/p>\n<p>There are two ways you can fix the issue:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Make sure you specify the correct logo with the<br \/>\n        <code><a href=\"#hiring\">hiringOrganization.logo<\/a><\/code> property.<\/b><br \/>\n        Make sure that the image width and height ratio is between 0.75 and 2.5.<br \/>\n        Updating the structured data is faster than updating the Google knowledge panel and doesn&#8217;t require you to be verified for<br \/>\n        your knowledge panel.<\/li>\n<li><b><a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/posts\/answer\/7534842\" class=\"external-link\">Suggest a change<\/a> to your<br \/>\n        knowledge panel.<\/b> Updating your knowledge panel provides more control over how your organization<br \/>\n        appears on Google, but it may take longer to update. Google tries to match the location information to a<br \/>\n      physical location, and the location provided is either missing or incorrect.<\/p>\n<p><i class=\"material-icons\" aria-hidden=\"true\">done<\/i> <b>Fix the issue<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure the structured data includes values for <code>jobLocation<\/code>,<br \/>\n        <code>addressLocality<\/code>, or <code>addressRegion<\/code> (depending on the location, not<br \/>\n        all of the location properties are applicable).<\/p>\n<aside class=\"note\">We recommend that you include as many location properties as possible. Make sure the<br \/>\n            location is a real location.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"monitor\" tabindex=\"-1\">Monitor rich results with Search Console<\/h2>\n<p>\n   Search Console is a tool that helps you monitor how your pages perform in Google Search.<br \/>\n   You don&#8217;t have to sign up for Search Console to be included in Google Search results,<br \/>\n   but it can help you understand and improve how Google sees your site.
