The algorithm selects a single best answer.<\/li>\n<li>The snippet appears only after the marked-up pages are indexed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The content-architecture consequence<\/h2>\n<p>The one-question rule is the real cost. A well-made FAQ page collecting twenty questions cannot participate: each question needs its own URL. That is a decision with implications well beyond the snippet \u2014 twenty thin pages instead of one useful page is usually a worse site, so the split is only justified when each question genuinely deserves a page of its own, with a substantive answer somebody would search for directly.<\/p>\n<h2>The reservations, stated in full<\/h2>\n<p>Yandex does not guarantee the information will appear; may use it wholly, partly, separately or combined with other sources, in any of its services; and <strong>is not responsible for the accuracy of information shown in the snippet<\/strong>. The user-agreement clauses releasing Yandex from guarantees apply to snippet content too.<\/p>\n<p>That last point deserves attention: if the snippet shows a wrong or outdated answer, the exposure is yours. Answers surfaced this way are read by people who never visit the page, so an obsolete answer reaches a wider audience than a stale page normally would.<\/p>\n<h2>When it is worth doing<\/h2>\n<p>For support content where a question genuinely stands alone and the answer does not change often.
