A tag manager or consent platform stacking cookies can make pages unfetchable while every browser copes fine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Invalid message length<\/strong> \u2014 check <code>content-length<\/code>; the declared header size must not exceed the actual document size.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Invalid data amount transferred<\/strong> \u2014 transfer ended early or continued past the declared length.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wrong encoding<\/strong> \u2014 <code>Transfer-Encoding<\/code> set incorrectly or unknown.<\/li>\n<li>Plus the connectivity family: connection failure, connection not established, DNS error, invalid HTTP status code, invalid HTTP header, unsupported document format, invalid document address, and blocked in <code>robots.txt<\/code>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Processing errors<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><code>noindex<\/code> meta tag present<\/strong> \u2014 deliberate, if you meant it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wrong encoding<\/strong> \u2014 characters that do not match the declared encoding.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Document recognised as a server log<\/strong> \u2014 an unusual one, and Yandex&#8217;s advice is telling: if it is a real page for visitors, change it so it does not resemble a log. Pages that are mostly timestamped rows can fall into this.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Invalid document format<\/strong> \u2014 the file does not match its declared type across HTML, PDF, DOC, RTF, SWF, XLS and PPT.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Encoding not recognised<\/strong> \u2014 possibly no text, or text in mixed encodings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Language not supported<\/strong> \u2014 the language was not recognised or is not supported.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Document contains no text<\/strong> \u2014 the case behind a large share of &#8220;the page looks fine to me&#8221; reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to use this<\/h2>\n<p>Read the error, decide which stage it belongs to, and route it accordingly: download errors go to whoever runs the server or the CDN; processing errors go to whoever builds the page.
