What makes one effective
- Only indexable URLs — no redirects, no blocked paths, no duplicates.
- Honest last-modified dates.
- Split by section on large sites, so coverage can be measured per section.
Realistic expectation
A sitemap communicates structure. It does not compel indexing, in Baidu any more than elsewhere.
