The External links report shows links pointing at your site from elsewhere that now lead to an error. Every one of them is accumulated value arriving at a closed door.
What to do with them
- Redirect to the closest equivalent page, one-to-one where possible.
- Do not bulk-redirect to the homepage; Yandex treats that as a soft error and the value does not transfer.
- Ignore links from sources you would not want an association with.
The judgement call
Not every broken inbound link deserves a redirect. Ask whether a person following it would find what they expected on the target page.
