What gets flagged
- Expired or soon-to-expire certificates.
- Incomplete chains — the most common real fault.
- Hostname mismatches on subdomains or the www form.
Why it matters beyond security
A certificate the robot cannot validate can block crawling entirely, which looks like an indexing problem rather than a certificate one.
