PR Services

A brand’s standing does not come from occasional visibility. It comes from reputation managed on purpose: the right publications, a message architecture built deliberately, and an effect you can measure.

Media relations and press distribution

Carrying news value is no longer enough on its own. Your story has to reach the right outlets, at the right moment, through people who already cover that subject. We write to journalistic standards rather than marketing ones, and send to filtered, sector-specific lists rather than to everyone.

We do not promise placement. No agency controls what an editor decides to publish, and any agency saying otherwise is either buying coverage or overstating its influence. What we control is whether the story is worth running and whether it reaches the person who would run it.

In practice we act as a press office on your behalf: handling information requests, interview approaches and contributions to feature pieces quickly enough that journalists keep coming back. Reliability is most of the relationship. A source who answers within the hour gets called again; one who takes three days does not.

Finding the story

Most press releases fail because there was no news in them. A funding round, a genuine first, proprietary data, a considered position on something the sector is arguing about: these get covered. A product update rarely does.

If there is nothing newsworthy right now we say so, and help build something worth covering instead: original research, a data set only you hold, or a position your executives can defend publicly. That is slower than sending a release, and it works.

Reputation and thought leadership

Reputation takes years to build and erodes quickly when nobody is watching it. We track how the brand is perceived in search results, on social platforms and in forums, and shape it proactively rather than reacting after damage.

Thought leadership turns what your executives genuinely know into sector analysis, technical articles and trend commentary. Done properly it makes them the people publications call, which strengthens the company as much as the individual. Done badly it produces ghost-written opinion nobody remembers, so the material has to come from real expertise rather than from a content calendar.

Negative results are addressed within ethical and legal limits: by publishing better material and correcting inaccuracy through proper channels, not by suppressing legitimate criticism. An agency that offers to make honest criticism disappear is describing something you should not buy.

Crisis communication

Holding statements, spokesperson preparation and escalation paths are prepared before they are needed. The first hour of a crisis decides most of what follows, and that hour is a poor time to be deciding who is authorised to speak.

Spokespeople are trained on message and rehearsed on the difficult questions, so the first interview is not the first time anyone has heard them out loud.

PR you can measure

The historic weakness of public relations was that spend could not be tied to an outcome. We report unique readership reached, the referring links earned, growth in branded search volume and referral traffic to the site.

Coverage from authoritative, topically relevant publications raises your credibility with search engines as well as with readers, which is why PR and SEO are coordinated rather than run separately. Reach estimates are labelled as estimates, and advertising value equivalency is not used as a substitute for a real number, because it never was one.

The problem

Does any of this sound familiar?

These are the situations clients describe most often before they call us.

Releases go out and nothing runs

A generic announcement is sent to a bought list, and no journalist has a reason to care about it.

Coverage cannot be tied to anything

Clippings arrive monthly with no link to search volume, referral traffic or a commercial outcome.

A crisis arrives with no plan

There is no holding statement, no agreed spokesperson and no escalation path, so the first response is improvised.

The founder knows things nobody publishes

Genuine expertise sits inside the company while competitors are quoted as the sector experts.

Difference

Why work with us on this

Relationships, not distribution lists

Stories are pitched to named journalists who cover that beat. Mass distribution is how a good story gets ignored.

A story or nothing

If there is no genuine news we say so and help you build something worth covering, rather than sending a release nobody runs.

No placement guarantees

No agency controls what an editor publishes. We are accountable for the story and the pitch, not for a promise we could not keep.

Crisis ready

Holding statements, spokesperson prep and escalation paths are prepared before you need them, not drafted under pressure.

Earned coverage feeds search

Coverage is coordinated with the SEO team so the authority earned is not wasted on an unlinked mention.

Coverage reported honestly

You get the clipping, the outlet and the date. Reach estimates are labelled as estimates.

Process

How we work

Every engagement runs through the same sequence, whatever its size.

  1. Positioning

What you are for, said in a sentence a journalist can use without rewriting it.

  2. Story development

The angles that are genuinely newsworthy, ranked by which outlets would run them.

  3. Media mapping

Named journalists and outlets per angle, with what each has covered recently.

  4. Spokesperson preparation

Message training and the difficult questions rehearsed before the first interview.

  5. Outreach

Individually pitched, tracked and followed up once. Not twice.

  6. Coverage and review

Clippings, analysis of what landed and why, and the next quarter angles.
